Knock, knock, knock. The guy said knock three times. A tiny little peep hole scrapes open on the door. A big beefy guy grumbles, "How big is your stash?" Don't worry, I got this. I clear my throat and complete the passcode. "Just what fits in this tiny little box dear." It must have worked because the door opens to the mythical Raglan's Bane bar where people are knitting and drinking. There are skein winders attached to either end of the bar. Each table has sheep coasters under drinks and little vases that hold tiny crochet hooks for dropped stitches and darning needles for weaving in ends. Behind the bar is a gal with a smirk and short pixie cut hair. I saddle up to the bar and drop my project bag down. "What will it be?"
Congratulations! If you have made it here, then you must be a VIP!
Because of the limited quantities of these beauties, these colorways are not yet available for the public (though I do intend to dye more once I get a chance). With 50% Silk and 50% Superwash Merino, the drape on this is ah-ma-zing (and must be said with your eyes closed to experience the full effect).
Just one skein of this was used to make the Choice Bit of Calico shawlette by Sarah Shoo, but if you are a larger shawl lover, the pattern does have instructions for a larger size.
The limited Lustrous colorways available today are:
Base: Lustrous (Fingering, 4-ply)
50% Silk, 50% Superwash Merino
Full Skein: Approx. 435 yards, 100 grams
All of my yarn is hand dyed and every effort was taken to ensure that the color in the picture is representative of the actual skein. As a hand dyed yarn, however, every skein of yarn will be slightly different than the original, even within the same batch. Please note that monitor colors vary.
Hand washing and air drying are recommended for this luxury yarn.
All yarn is washed and rinsed but some mild bleeding may occur. I encourage you to wash your yarn by itself the first time.
All items are created in a smoke-free house.
