Beachy Mini Skein Kit
Beachy Mini Skein Kit
Too hard to pick just a few colors from the Beachy Series? Don't worry, you can get all of the colors in this mini skein pack. With 92 yards per color, you still have as much yardage as a full skein (460 yards total). Wait! 460 yards? That leaves your options wide open for patterns.
See below for linked pattern suggestions.
Base: Prime (Fingering, 4-ply)
75% Superwash Merino, 25% Nylon
Mini Skein: Approx 92 yards, 20 grams each
5 mini skein colors = 460 total yards per set
Style: Semi-Solid / Tonal
All of my yarn is hand dyed and every effort was taken to ensure that the color in the picture is representative of the actual skein. As a hand dyed yarn, however, every skein of yarn will be slightly different than the original, even within the same batch. Please note that monitor colors vary.
This yarn is machine washable in cool water on a gentle cycle or in a lingerie bag, air dry. Hand washing is recommended to extend the life of the yarn.
All yarn is washed and rinsed but some mild bleeding may occur. I encourage you to wash your yarn by itself the first time.
All items are created in a smoke-free and pet-free home.
These are written in levels based on the amount of imagination you need to work the gradient set into the existing pattern and the additional amount of yarn needed. Level 1 is written for multiple gradients and uses no additional yarn outside of the mini skein kit. Levels 4 and 5 use additional yarn and it is up to you to decide how to incorporate your colors into the pattern. The higher levels are No-Mans' Land so if you aren't ready for it, then stick with Level 1 or 2.
Level 2: (Original patterns include striping, but requires your imagination to place stripes. These patterns only require the yarn included in the kit. These have not been tested with this kit and might require some careful planning or creative thinking.):
Alby by Bonne Marie Burns (the lace will need two mini skiens so perhaps use the a light teal or yellow, alternate the two skeins, then switch to the dark. The striping may be need to be calculated)
Leventry Loop by Sarah Jordan (see notes on Alby)
Graphic Kerchief by Ce Persiano (You can switch the colors as you wish here or as needed, but you will need to be able to ignore or alter the pattern's instructions to switch between the pattern's original colors)
Lindisfarne Shawl by Angelea McGarrah (see notes on Graphic Kerchief)
Ex Boyfriends Shawl by Jennifer Beever (see notes on Graphic Kerchief)
