Frequently Asked Questions!

  • What if something is wrong with my purchase?

Email me at prairiegirldanie@gmail.com and let me know. I want you to be happy with your purchase!

  • Where can I find you?

I am based in Omaha, Nebraska, but because my business is a home based business, you can't actually visit. However, I can be found a lot of places on the web! I am on Ravelry as PrairieGirlDanie! I co-host an audio knitting podcast with my friend Susie called Prairie Girls Knit and Spin! You can read more from me on the One Twisted Tree Blog (coming soon)! Catch me on Instagram too as PrairieGirlDanie!

Additional Information

All items are created in a smoke-free and pet-free home.

Every effort was taken to ensure that the color in the picture is representative of the actual skein. Please note that monitor colors vary.

As a hand dyed yarn, every skein of yarn will be slightly different than the original.  Different dyelots are not likely to match exactly (just as with a commercial dyer). If you are planning a large project, contact me (prairiegirldanie@gmail.com) and let me know so I can dye up a batch large enough for your project.

Special Thank You

Thank you to Emily Straw Photography for consulting on the photography of this website and taking my head shot seen on the About page. Emily took a look at my website in progress, listened to what I was hoping to convey with my pictures, and then guided and focused me with ideas and tips. She helped me come up with ideas that would stay true to my personality, but would add so much more. I received invaluable feedback on the composition, feeling and technical aspects of the pictures. She was able to give me advice on how to improve my photography using the camera I have. Emily turned my pictures from something you scroll past to something that you stop and take a look at.

Emily can take your pictures for you or mentor you. If you are a designer who wants a picture that will stand out on a Ravelry search, a seller of bags looking to catch people's eyes on Etsy, or a yarn seller who would like to have your yarn or fiber photography speak to your customers, contact Emily here.
